The name was chosen for the position at the top of the Galley Bay hill, where in the afternoon its all white colour reminds one of a stylized cloud. Villa Nuvola represents the essence given, not only by the creamy white colour of its walls, but also because of the Vicenza stone used for the bathrooms. The colour is only interrupted with big Modern American and African pictures.
The owner is a former banker who wanted a villa with an open layout, where the living area of the house, that is the kitchen and living room, compliment the exterior, thanks to the use of glass windows.
The rectangular swimming pool has an infinite side, which suggest to the swimmer, the sensation of the meeting of the earth and sky. The contiguous external verandah includes an area with sitting rooms by Deadon and a glass table. The contemporary line bar area covered by Vicenza stone plays on the continuity connection theme. The external lamps are Ares.
The kitchen is Dada, the internal glass table and two short glass tables are Carlo Scarpa. The big sofa is Roche Bobois, while the internal lights are Viabizzuno and Studio Italia Design. The bedroom furniture is from Meridiani Rubinetteria Cea Design.
